JOHN HABERSHAM
(1754 - 1799) American merchant, planter, and soldier from Georgia, son of loyalist official James Habersham and the younger brother of patriot leader Joseph Habersham. He served as an officer in the 1st Georgia Regiment during the Revolution, a delegate to the Congress of the Confederation in 1785. Partly-printed D.S., 1p. 4to., Savannah, May 25, 1790, a power of attorney which he witnesses at bottom. Very good.
