Please note that this item has a reserve. This item is part of a large estate of an aristocratic family from Eastern Europe. In late 1940’s, the entire estate was confiscated by the communist government and for over 60 years was displayed in a local museum until recently when the entire collection was returned to the family. Some items are in US and others are still in Europe. The collection is made of 19th Century art, antique furniture, tapestries and more. Some items are still in Eastern Europe but can be shipped anywhere. Also, to protect the privacy of the current owners, we will not divulge their name during the auction. However, each item sold in auctions will be accompanied by a letter from the owner authenticating each piece. Our research shows this as being signed lower right by G. Coubert (1819-1877) French artist, listed. Framed in a newer frame measures 29" X 24" with the sight of 21" X 16.5". Oil on canvas, very dark and we took the liberty to lightened the background of one picture in order to make it more visible for this auction. It is a beautiful piece and in very good conditions.
