Description
An Egyptian terracotta ‘Reis’ or overseer ushabti, late New Kingdom, c. 1200 - 1075 BC, a nice example, depicted mummiform, wearing tripartite wig and triangular apron of daily life, hand folded at chest, the implements would have been represented in paint, which is style preserved on the hair and face. 6 5/8 in (16.8 cm). Light surface deposits. Ex Dr. Serop Simonian, Egyptologist, Luxor, Las Vegas.
