Description
Pre-Columbian, Narino Culture, Highlands of Colombia, ca. 1250 CE. This is a deep plate with a finely decorated geometric pattern in tondo and a complex negative wax resist technique. The foot is also broad and decorated; the rim has a wonderful diamond pattern. Size: 10" W x 3.75" H (25.4 cm x 9.5 cm).

Condition
The piece has been restored along breaks, but the restoration points are difficult to see and the design is clear. The base has very slight chipping.
