Five-flamed ceiling candelabra for candles of polychrome tinted and painted glass
The candleholders in form of water lilies, the standing stalks in the upper area of the candelabra in form of water flowers
Dimensions: c. 90 x 75 x 75 cm
Condition:
The candelabra is in age-related condition with some usual signs of wear. Some restorations can be partial found at the wax plates, blossoms and the stalks. One wax plate with stronger visible restorations.
Barovier & Toso (est. 1936)
Barovier & Toso is an Italian glass company that dates back to the 13th century and is currently based at the Palazzo Contarini in Murano, Italy. Originally founded by the Barovier family, the company merged with the Toso family in 1936. Specializing in Venetian glass, including mother-of-pearl glass, crystalline glass and gold-free cornelian red glass, Barovier & Toso produces traditional drinking vessels, Venetian chandelier and glass art. The chief designer, Ercole Barovier, designed many well-known glass designs, including Brillantati, Zebrati, Crepuscolo, Cordonato d’Oro and Acanto. (ala)
