Being a small square brass container for Communion wafers, two sides molded and incised with religious iconography, one depicting the Madonna and Child, the other with Christ or a saint, the faces also adorned with Greek lettering, the top fitted with a sliding closure and the sides with loops connected to a chain, allowing the piece to be worn around the neck, the bottom suspending three sky blue stone or milk glass balls. 2" square X 5/8" D; chain approximately 28" L. Incised surfaces with wear.
