Description

A Rare and Large Italian Neoclassical Majolica Bust and Pedestal, 19th century
85 inches high (215.9 cm)

The female bust with wheat shaft adorning her hair, she wears a diaphanous and finely detailed green dress, raised on a four-part column with conforming motif.

Condition

Firing cracks to the socle nase with a light hairline crack extending through her right breast, crazing throughout the pedestal, with light flakes to the edges, firing crack to the central panel, otherwise with wear indicative of age.
