each a pastel on paper, the largest work is signed at lower left, the other two are unsigned, all three in similar period gilt frames under glass.
DOA 11.75 x 16 in.; 10.25 x 13 in.; and 10 x 12.5 in.
Born in Cincinnati and a Harvard graduate, Gest served as Director of the Cincinnati Art Museum from 1902-1932. In 1901, he became affiliated with Rookwood Pottery and became President of the company following the death of William Watts Taylor in 1913.
Two retain Closson Galleries of Cincinnati labels on the verso.
