A Japanese Lacquered Two-Tiered Box The rectangular form decorated to the exterior on all sides and the cover with entwining gnarled pine and prunus trees, the trunks and various blossoms picked out in silver overlay, above stylized textured rockwork and a gently flowing river, with ten crane-form crest medallions throughout. Meiji Period 5 1/2 x 5 3/4 x 4 7/8 inches (14 x 14.6 x 12.4 cm) Provenance: _x000B_Formerly in The Toledo Museum of Art Collection.
