An important pala, dating: 18th Century, provenance: Turkey, dating: 18th Century, provenance: Turkey, Wide, curved, single-and false-edged blade (a small pitting), enlarged at the back with raisers and gold decorations, made of beautiful damask, decorated with gold cartouche featuring Arabic writing, cartouche carved with a lion and cartouches decorated with floral motifs. Gilded, silver hilt with cross-quillon, grip with horn grip sclaes and silver frame. Beautiful, wooden scabbard with leather covering and two, big, embossed, silver mounts featuring royal stamps (tughra). Two suspension rings. Complete with a handwritten label of a collection. , length 87.5 cm.
