Japanese School, first half 20th century. "Pheasants with Peonies", watercolor on silk, with circular red mark at lower center. Figural genre painting in fan shape on silk panel depicting a mated pair of pheasants perched on a tree branch, the male with elaborate and colorful feathers, the female more plan and petite, with two blooming peony flowers in the foreground. Framed approximately 38.5" x 20". Sight approximately 36.5" x 18". Provenance: From the Estate of Channing S. Jun, M.D., Eastman, Georgia.
