Description
Grouping of three antique sewing scissors. The first is an early, hand hammered wrought iron primitive example. New England, late 1700's/early 1800's. The other two are Swedish. Thick forged iron. A larger one, intended for cutting through leather and tough fabric, and a smaller, more precise one. Both are Well marked on both sides at the joint - The larger one with an Anchor mark on one side, and ESKILSTUNA on the other. The smaller one - C. W. DAHLGREN / ESKILSTUNA, and on the other with number marks - 12 / 150. From The Rademacher Forges in the city of Eskilstuna, Sweden, renowned for it's production of knives, scissors, locks, tools and blades. Measurements: Approx.
