Very rare first edition. Important source for the history of the administration and of the rights of Venice. The Auditors and Regulators of Venice duties and Mainland were created three in number, in 1617, in order to revise and reorder the uneven administration of the duties of the Republic. Towards 1769 the magistrates passed by three to five members. They were right to suggest appropriate action to ordinary Savi, which he referred to the Senate. At first the new judiciary operates headed to those duties that were in greater disorder, that is, to those of wine, silk, playing cards and blacks velvets. The other duties were revised and rearranged in the following years. The study of the "duties of the chapters" offers the scholar points that go beyond the mere tax analysis. Here we find chapters on weapons licenses, printers, strife, plague, war waged. Specimen uncut, with wide margins.
