Set of two scenes, done in fine wood inlay composition (intarsia). A vast variety of types and shades of high-quality fruit wood, hardwood and possibly fancy tropical species. Displays two scenes: The one on the left is the Eltz Castle (Burg Eltz) an Der Mosel between the cities of Koblenz and Trier, Rhineland-Palatinate; The other one is a view of the St. Vincent Church in Heiligenblut am Großglockner, Carinthia, Austria - a popular Ski tourism destination. Each is tagged on the back with a paper tag and Gothic script inscriptions - INTARSIEN / EINGELEGTE ARBEIT (INLAID WORK). Germany, first half of the XXth c., c.1930's.
