Important work of pharmacopoeia that presents the composition of the leading pharmaceutical preparations, with their indications and dosages, elaborated by George Bate; published posthumously by his colleagues and students for the first time in London in 1688, it was then gradually increased with additions of other authors. The text remained in vogue until the mid-eighteenth century. In this edition has added the important appendix curated by Thomas Fuller, and the second volume with the work of Jacques Le Mort, Fundamenta November antiqua theoriae Medicinae to Naturae operas revoked. The beautiful frontispiece engraved on copper depicting a chemical laboratory and pharmaceutical preparations, topped by title and allegorical figures.
