A WILLIAM IV MOTHER-OF-PEARL AND BRASS INLAID ROSEWOOD TEA CADDY, SECOND QUARTER 19TH CENTURY, with a rectangular hinged lid centering a blossoming foliage filled urn above a similarly inlaid front, opening to a fitted interior with arch lidded case compartments with scrolling floral stem details and flanking a circular mixing bowl open well. Height: 6 1/4" Width: 12 3/8" Depth: 6 3/8" Provenance: Estate of the Late James K. Schooler, Esq.
Condition
Good condition, some normal age cracks throughout, a few small surface marks, buildup, wood needs a good hand waxing.
