2nd millennium BC. A bronze sceptre top comprising: a waisted and balustered bronze tube with flared mouth and everted flange; an opposed pair of ibexes(?) with feet and forelimbs each forming a ring. Cf. Moorey, P.R.S. Ancient Bronzes From Luristan, London, 1974, plate XI (A, B"). 250 grams, 30cm (11 3/4"). From the collection of a North West London gentleman; acquired in the 1980s. [2]
