Description

American Mahogany Classical sofa, attributed to the work shop of Isaac Vose of Boston. Having scroll and rosette back support and arms along with acanthus leaf carved paw footed base. Circa 1835. Height- 35-1/2". Width- 86". Depth- 24". Condition: Chip to right front carved leg. Stains and discoloration to upholstery (upholstery work and webbing is very sound).Minor chips and abrasions to veneer, otherwise very stable. Left rear leg needs one dowel. Right front foot at claw has been poorly reattached. Minor veneer repair.
