Description
Description: The African Methodist Episcopal Church was founded in 1816. Research indicates that this is the historic AME Church of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is the oldest independent Protestant denomination founded by black people in the world. Each card is printed on a thin piece of paper and is filled in with period ink writing and signed by the minister. Cards appear to be for members with the last name "Hill".
