Description
A Marilyn Monroe Early Signed Magazine Page, 1948. A tear-out from 'The Greater Los Angeles Press Club' brochure depicting a black and white image of the young star who was honored as the "Official Hostess" of the club for the year 1948, signed in blue fountain pen ink on the right side "To Louise Evans / Best wishes from Clarice's [sic] Evans / roommate / Marilyn Monroe;" consigned directly by Louise Evans who knew the starlet in the late 1940s when Monroe roomed at the Hollywood Studio Club with her sister, Clarice -- a then aspiring soprano while Monroe was a struggling actress; interestingly, text on the lower margin of the image reads in part "...we think she has the potentialities of stardom, our Official Hostess tonight...Marilyn Monroe" -- The Greater Los Angeles Press Club being right on target! (Please note all corners are creased and there is substantial wrinkling in the upper right corner but the image and autograph are not affected.)
