A Marilyn Monroe Wig from "The Misfits." United Artists, 1961. Made of ashy blonde/gray-colored human hair attached to netting, shoulder-length with slight curls; together with an additional matching hairpiece comprising five ringlets (to give main wig more volume); both housed in their original box with a label on the side reading "Max Factor Studios / Hair Creations / Marilyn Monroe" and one on top reading in part "United Artists Corporation / The Misfits / Mapes Hotel / Reno, Nevada" and "Hold At Airport For Pick up;" worn by the star as "Roslyn Taber" in what would become known as her last completed film. (Please note box is somewhat tattered due to age.)

These hair pieces were originally sold in the Christie's (New York) auction titled "The Personal Property of Marilyn Monroe," Sale 9216, October 27-28, 1999, Lot 350, final price realized $29,900; original Christie's lot tag and lot description card included; consigned to Heritage by the original buyer.
