Chinese Porcelain Small Blue and White Dragon Jar. Wanli Six-Character Mark in Underglaze Blue within a Double Circle. Circa. 1573-1620. Decorated with two dragons racing above a band of waves and rocks in pursuit of flaming pearls, between a band of overlapping leaf tips below and a band of lingzhi fungus on the shoulder above, all within narrow decorative borders. 5-1/4"h. Provenance: Purchased at Christie's, New York, March 21, 2000, "Fine Chinese Ceramics, Paintings and Works of Art" Auction #9388. And Christie's, New York, March 20, 1997, lot 87, The Jingguantang Collection Part II. Condition: Professional repairs on rim.
