A carved multi-hardstone sculpture by Canadian artist / sculptor Lyle Sopel (British Columbia, Canada, b-1951). This sculpture from Sopel's 1999 Northern Region Series depicts a mother bear and her cub, carved in quartz, climbing a tree made from tiger's eye and mounted on a black obsidian jade base. Signed Sopel on the base and numbered F647. Measures 11.5" high, 9.5" wide, 8.5" deep.
