Description
Circa 1948-1952, designed by Wilhelm Kage (1889-1960), with an emerald green matte mottled glaze, and silver inlay depicting a nymph trailing draperies, the sides and lid further banded with silver, the underside marked "Gustavsberg / Kage / 935" and with an anchor mark. 9.5" H X 9.5" W over handles X 5" D. Firing cracks to the underside that do not extend through base, a meandering 2.5" hairline crack from the bottom of one nymph's foot extending into a small, expertly-restored 2" section on the short column, a 1.5" hairline crack extending vertically from foot of container on other side, minor rubbing to silvering.
