VERY FINE, Ming Dynasty Chinese gilt bronze Bodhisattva figure of Avalokiteshvara.
As the nature of all Buddha, seated Avalokiteshvara, with resplendent, smiling, peaceful serene face and radiant amidst intricate ornate headdress, elongated ears with floral earrings in relaxed in posture. Adorned with many attractive silks and jewels. Both hands raised on chest level, holding entwined lotus ornate wrapped the arms terminated to the inverted ends on the shoulders. The ornamentation and jewelry are repetitive but not boring. Buddha is seated on a beautiful lotus leaf throne. The bottom has a yin yang symbol.
