Description
FIRE FLY MINIATURE LAMPS, LOT OF TWO, colorless, including a finger example with colorless applied handle, each with a bell-form font embossed "FIRE FLY" and with eight stars over a band of hearts to finger and remaining with nine stars, underside with an eight-point star, opaque white ball-form and opalescent baluster-form chimney-shades, period collars including one with patent information. Fitted with period Olmstead single-tube burners. Fourth quarter 19th century. 4 1/2" and 3 3/4" H to top of chimney-shades, 1 7/8" H to top of collars, 1 1/2" D base.
Lamps and setups undamaged, finger examples collar with a split, resulting in burner not tightening, chimney-shades with normal roughness, as made.
