VERY FINE DAOGUANG TEADUST ZUN VASE
A very fine DaoGuang Chinese tea dust porcelain zun vase is stoutly potted in form of Chinese traditional squared zun vessel, of a semi rectangular pear shape, bottom-heavy body with wider prominent neck further to the rectangular opening. Two cylindrical ears flanked on the neck. The main body decorated with shallow protruding peach motif. All reserved in olive-green under glazed with densely dusted golden-yellow speckles, thinning to brown at the mouth-rim.
Mark on base, an impressed seal mark, with six seal script -ZhuanShu- characters, DaoGuang Reign Period of Great Qing.
Dimension: 12" H x 7-1/2" W
PROVENANCE: Acquired from a vast Connecticut estate collection in 2007 with records indicating that they were purchased over several years during the early 1900's and up until the 1915's from the JS Ltd Company New York. Pieces of history being passed on to the future./i/font
