Provenance: Property from the private collection of Audrey "Dolly" and the late William "Billy" Journell, Leesburg, VA.
Catalogue Note: Oldrich Otto Farsky (1860-1930) studied in Prague 1877-1879 and established himself as an artist in Bohemia and across Europe at an early age. In 1893 he immigrated to the United States, initially residing in Chicago, Illinois. Over the course of his lifetime, Farsky moved farther and farther west and began to concentrate more and more on landscape painting. The present example clearly demonstrates his fine abilities as an artist.
