Description
French, mid to late 20th century. An Empire style mahogany breakfront, having an overhanging molded cornice over an ormolu mounted frieze, supported by applied pilasters mounted with caryatid busts, the central portion with three paned doors with fretwork mullions, flanked by two cabinets, each mounted with an urn and a foliate, with a lower molding supported by caryatid columns, the lower portion with three three cabinet doors mounted with urn and foliated ormolu, flanked by two outer portions, each with two short drawers over a cabinet door, the whole resting on hairy paw feet. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 79.75", width 96", depth 19.25".
