Theodore Draper (1912-2006) was an eminent historian who wrote some well-regarded histories of the Communist Party USA. He was close to the party for many years and knew a lot of its leaders. In this volume, he writes about U.S. foreign policy and takes on such notables as Henry Kissinger, Caspar Weinberger, Alexander Haig and neo-conservative intellectuals Norman Podhoretz and Jeane Kirkpatrick, among others.

Near Fine in a Near Fine dust jacket. Front board and dust jacket a bit soiled. Overall, an attractive copy. A New Republic review of the book is loosely laid in.
