Description
Rogers, Smith & Co (American (Meriden, Connecticut) 1877-1904), fourth quarter 19th century. A Victorian quadruple silver vanity caddy having a right and left circular basket fitted with continental blue glass hand painted enamel decorated scent bottles having ruffled lids and centered with a covered bowl probably used to contain powder or cotton balls raised on a floral bright cut base with four aesthetic style legs. The underside of base marked in a shield "ROGERS SMITH & CO MERIDEN CT QUADRUPLE" and "96".
Condition
Some inherent bubbles and light cracking to crimping from molding. Irregularity in molding of one stopper. Some tarnishing to silver plate. No other visible signs of damage or repair.
