Description
Five items Wedgwood jasperware, with classical figural decoration, all marked Wedgwood. 1st item: White on black ground centerpiece bowl, 4-1/4" H x 10" dia., mid-20th century. 2nd-3rd items: Two white on blue ground biscuit jars with silverplate lids and bail handles, 5-1/2" and 6" H, marked on base, early-mid 20th c. 4th item: White on blue ground covered canister, 4-1/2" H w/ finial x 5-1/2" dia, marked on base, early 20th c. 5th item: White on blue ground small double-handled urn, 5" H, marked on base, mid-20th century. Provenance: From the collection of Edward S. Thompson, formerly of Columbus, Ohio and Maryville, TN, deceased 1979, by descent to present owner. Condition
All in very good condition with one fleabite on face of figure on one biscuit jar. Losses to the white jasperware trim around the base of the handled vase where it joins (very inconspicuous). Stains inside one biscuit jar.
