Russian born, Maurice Molarsky was a figure, portrait, and still-life painter in the classical style. Molarsky settled in Philadelphia where he was a student at the Pennsylvania Museum School of Industrial Art. He also studied in France and England and the Philadelphia Art Alliance. Molarsky was a fellow of the Pennsylvania Academy and a member of the Allied Artists of America. Exhibition venues included the Pennsylvania Academy; Corcoran Gallery Biennials; Pan-Pacific Exposition in San Francisco, 1915; and the Philadelphia Sketch Club.
