Unusual Chinese imperial embroidered blue silk dragon robe finely decorated with a large front-facing dragon and paired with 'side-dragons', foo-dogs, flaming pearls, auspicious symbols such ascarps, vases and umbrellas, all above sea-wave and rocky mountain - symbols of sovereignty, 19th century, Qing Dynasty, showing some tears near the cuff and collar, not inspected out of the frame, private New York collection, 58" (147.5 cm) wide, 67 3/4" (172 cm) high (frame), 53 3/4" (136.5 cm) (lenght from collar to hem)
