Description
An early 20th century American 14ct gold enamel Egyptian Revival brooch. Designed as a blue enamel scarab, with vari-hue enamel winged sides. Maker's marks for Carter, Howe & Co (Carter, Gough & Co.). Length 4.1cms. Weight 3.6gms.
Overall condition good. Some surface scratches/ wear in keeping with general age and wear. Enamel in good condition. Later personal engraving to the reverse. Minor discolouration to the reverse. Stamped 14k. Condition reports are offered as a guide only and we highly recommend inspecting any lot to satisfy yourself as to its condition.
