The canvas measures 38 x 38, frame measures 39 x 39 inches. Provenance: from the personal collection of Sidney and Anne Lawrence who moved to Kansas City from New York in 1946. Sydney Lawrence taught art history at New York University and operated a gallery there. In 1949 they opened Lawrence Gallery at 43rd and Main where they exhibited American and European contemporary paintings, drawings, original prints, sculpture and ceramics.
