This Porin (the Croatian equivalent to an American Grammy, which Johnny called his "Crammy") was awarded to Johnny Winter as a Special Merit Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music on Thursday, March 1st, 2012, on the evening of his third concert in Zagreb on his 2012 Roots tour. The Porin is the highest music honor that can be awarded in Croatia. The awards are made with marble from the same quarry that provided the marble for the United States White House.
