A letter written and signed by the poet Robert Browning along with the envelope and his portrait. The letter was sent to Lady Hatherly and is dated May 8, 1873. Robert Browning was a very well known English poet and playwright and was well known for his social commentary and dark humor. His wife Elizabeth Barrett Browning was also a prominent poet. The photo portrait, letter and envelope are in very good condition and the mat has yellowed. The items have not been studied outside of the frame. The frame 13 1/2"h x 16 1/2"w.
