AN UNUSUAL VIETNAMESE/ANNAMESE BLUE AND WHITE DOUBLE BIRD HEAD KENDI, SHIPWRECK ARTIFACT, LE DYNASTY, LATE 15TH/ EARLY 16TH CENTURY, the tapering circular body with sides painted in underglaze blue bird feather details, above a base with stylized lotus and foliage decoration, surmounted by short cylindrical neck and disc form mouth, flanked by two crested bird heads opposite scrolling tail feathers, over an unglazed brown tinted underside. Height: 5 3/4" Width: 6 1/2" Depth: 5 1/4"
