This Mercedes Benz 280 SE with injection engine was made in 1969, in 1995 the company Kienle made the conversion to a a cabriolet. Best materials and the popular 5-gear ZF transmission were used. In this context the brake system was also modernized. Body and finish are in very good condition. Interior including luggage compartment are well-kept. The impression of the motor compartment is also good.

After the Mercedes 300 d, the coupé and the cabriolet from the type series W 111 were the first independent designs by the French designer Paul Bracq. In order to realize the timelessly elegant design, he omitted the sedan's so-called marker edges and created a smooth rear end with small rear lights instead. While the sedans had an odometer that called reminiscence of a clinical thermometer, coupé and cabriolet featured two large round instruments under a root wood paneling and a floor shift mechanism. Next to the 220 SE, introduced in 1961, the 300 SE with air suspension and 160 hp was also available, in 1965 the 250 SE followed, as of 1968 the 280 SE and as of 1971 the 3.5 liter eight-cylinder.
