Description
Pre-Columbian, From the North Coast of Peru, ca. 1100 to 1400 A.D. Fine, hollow female figure standing on short thick legs with delineated toes. Both stub hands are held up and facing forward. The face is decorated with eye masks and tribal cross-hatched area on cheeks, and she wears a net-pattern tunic. Painted in cream and dark brown using a resinous pigment. Large example Size: 19.875" H (50.5 cm)
