(2 PCS) JAPANESE POTTERY - Both Chawan (ceremonial tea bowls), one on high unglazed foot with tapered sides, formed of sand colored stoneware, the body of the bowl being glazed in a rich and creamy buff glaze, the lip with an applied soft green drip of glossy texture. This smaller bowl is suitable for early summer and relatively informal teas, Meiji/Taisho period, 2 5/8" x 5 1/8", fine condition; PLUS Typical Flat Sided Red Raku Bowl on small unglazed foot, nicely decorated wioth white line renditions of bamboo and a rabbit, three splashes of green inside and out, artist's seal on underside, 3 1/4" x 4 3/4" diam, cracked.
