Serial number 353234 Caliber .38 six-shot revolver This 1928 Colt Police Positive is made of steel, with a polished blued finish and upgraded with an internal hammer block safety. The pistol is a second generation model of the Police Positive series which started its run in 1928 and ran until 1947. This pistol has a heavier frame then its first generation predecessor as well as a serrated top-strap to reduce sight glare, while retaining the wooden grips. Comes with a fine leather holster. Note: An FFL is required for this firearm, manufactured post 1898.

History: Colt named the new security device in this gun the "Positive Lock", and its nomenclature ended up being incorporated as a partial namesake for the new six-shot revolver. The First issue of the Police Positive ran from the revolver's introduction in 1907 until 1927. The second generation series of this pistol came out in in 1928.
