Vintage poster for a Parisian fair organized by Le Figaro to benefit the victims of "The Antwerp Catastrophe": On September 6th of that year, an explosion ripped through a dynamite factory, killing 300 people. The two cities, with their crests shown, are symbolized by two women, with Paris, in a starry robe, comforting a grieving Antwerp. "Palais De L'industrie-Champs-Elysees, Grandes Fetes,Anvers-Paris" poster by artist Jules Cheres. Measures 99" (251cm) height by 39" (99cm) width.
