PRESSED NOVELTY PORTRAIT PLATES, LOT OF THREE, Vaseline (black lighted), blue, and light amber, each a Grant "Let Us Have Peace" example, with leaf-form scalloped rim. Fourth quarter 19th century. Each 10 1/2" DOA.
Vaseline example nearly undamaged, with a minor sliver flake to one scallop tip, and three other scallops with a minute sliver flake, amber example with scattered flakes to scallops, and one tip with a minor loss, blue example with several scallops polished to shape.
Provenance: From the collection of the late James S. Wilkins of Waxahachie, TX.
