Description
A choice Egyptian basalt figure of Osiris, Late Period, c. 664 – 332 BC, depicted mummiform and seated on a throne, wearing atef crown with uraeus and false beard, arms folded over chest and hands holding a crook and a flail. H: 5 in (12.7cm), with stand 6 ½ in (16.4 cm). Nicely carved with deposits within the recesses. Mounted on nice antique wood base. Ex Suffolk, UK private collection.
