Item Details
Description
An antique, Anglo-Indian stand, apparently made to showcase a vase or a bowl, handcarved from very dense, tropical hardwood, standing on 4 elaborately-carved cabriole legs with dragon-fish feet and decorated with 4 aprons pierced-carved with flowers, trimmed at the top with hand-carved beading, below of which appears to be a band of carved roses. The four legs are bracketed together with carved acanthus leaf scrollwork that terminate in the middle with a beautifully-carved finial. A very beautiful piece that is a very uncommon find for furniture created during the historic, Anglo-Indian colonial period.

approximately 18 in high x 15 in wide
