This lovely antique jade ox head amulet most likely comes from the Ming Dynasty or early Qing Dynasty (1644 to 1912 ce). Carefully cleaned and polished, centuries of patina are still evident but only increase the natural beauty. The heavy pendant in 3 inches wide, 3 1/8 inches high and 1 1/8 inches deep with scooped back strung 8 mm natural fossil coral accented with 8 mm forest jasper rondelle and with 2 mm jasper, 24 inches long, with large sterling s-clasp. The necklace may be shortened at buyer's request as a custom order at no additional cost.

The hetian jade exhibits beautiful waxy luster. From a private collection, this pei is clean, without notable flaws, and will be sold without restoration (as is).
