Large William Ruser of Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills, California Mondays Child Poem Series Mid-Century Modern 1950s Figural Dresser, Vanity, or Purse Comb, 14K yellow gold set with a synthetic ruby and synthetic sapphires, apprx. 19.3dwt (29.9g) overall object weight including London celluloid comb insert, signed Ruser on the base of one foot and 14K on base of the other foot, 6 1/2 inches wide x 1/2 inch deep x 1 1/4 inches high overall.

Ruser worked with Trabert, Hoeffer-Mauboussin and VCA Van Cleef and Arpels as well as operated a CA couture atelier catering to the Hollywood and Los Angeles elite. Please also see a related figural box by Ruser from the same series offered as our previous item in the sale, Lot 10.
