Late 19th/early 20th century, each with blue underglaze crossed swords mark, the first inscribed ''E1'', the second inscribed ''E2'', each modeled by Johann Carl Schonheit (1745-1794) from his series on senses, the first depicting a lady seated at a piano (sense of hearing) (4.625'' H x 3.5'' W x 3.25'' D), the second depicting a lady at lunch (sense of taste) (5'' H x 3.75'' W x 3'' D), 2 pieces, est: $500/700

Condition
Each in overall good condition, with scattered losses to lace and general dust accumulation commensurate with age. The second with an approximately 1''-long firing crack to base, scattered losses to fruit leaves, and an approximately .125'' x .25'' shallow chip to underside of base. The second with an approximately .125''-wide firing crack to leg of piano.
